Climate-induced Displacement and Migration. Policy Gaps and Policy Alternatives

As it has been observed that the amount of forced migration has been increased due to the adverse effects of climate change.
Keeping that in mind, the development organization Network on Climate Change Bangladesh (NCCB) and Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) organized a national dialogue on… ‘‘Climate-induced Displacement and Migration. Policy Gaps and Policy Alternatives.” At national press club VIP lounge dated 02 November 2016.
In that event, the main concept paper was delivered by the chief executive of CPRD Md. Shamsuddoha. He elaborated the various socio-economic aspects and vulnerabilities regarding climate-induced migrants who are forcefully migrated from their habitats or countries. The number of people who lose their house, habitat, and resources is myriad. He also stressed upon how river erosion, flood, Drought, and other extreme events play a significant role towards changing the occupational pattern and increase gendered vulnerabilities among the migrants. see more.
